Bands

This year we've got three live bands to keep you dancing all weekend long.

  • Happy Feet Orchestra

    Happy Feet Orchestra

    Friday Band

Familiar faces in the Dutch dancing scene, the Happy Feet Orchestra is a band specifically for dancers and even has a few dancers among their ranks.

  • Jake Walker

    Jake Walker

    Saturday Band

Jamaican ginger, known as 'Jake,' was a patented US medicine with alcohol. When Prohibition came around, Jake became very popular for the wrong reasons. Some bootleggers made a toxic version causing paralysis, giving rise to the term 'Jake Walker.'

Now, a hundred years later, Jake is back, but as a strong flavored swing band. These guys are cooking in pubs and clubs every week. Their swing style and attitude made them very popular, particularly among dancers.

  • The Hi-Stakes

    The Hi-Stakes

    Sunday Band

Original tunes, with lyrics full of irony and passion, played authentically from a vast range of popular genres of the time, be it a Blue Note Records' boogaloo or an explosive old school Rhythm 'n Blues number; in other words, their repertoire (entirely original) covers anything in between the jazz and the blues worlds.
