Is this for me ?

This might be your first festival. What is it anyway ? Why all the fuss ?

Lindy Hoppers like festivals. Because of the advanced dancing ? No way. You might still feel uncomfortable with your dancing skills, but we do not care so much.

Why ? Because it is as much about making and meeting friends as it is about the moves & grooves. And yes, we really want to get to know you too !

You will undoubtedly see familiar local faces, but if you feel a bit unsure, ask your (class)mates about their plans.

If you want to discover which participants dance your level, consider enlisting for the workshops. Since the participants are grouped by level, you immediately meet about 30 people with which you know for sure you can dance. You will be friends before the party even starts.

But, you ask, why go through the trouble, if it’s only 3 days ? Pro tip : that nice dancer you just danced with might be able to help you plan your visit to his or her city. And that city will have a festival too…

If you are visiting us from further away, please note there are already several locals that have graciously indicated they can host a fellow lindy hopper during the festival.

If finances are a main reason not to attend, please know we have a small solidarity fund that might be able to help you make ends meet.
